The Knock Shrine site is back on-line!
At
Knock Ireland, Our Lady along with St. Joseph and St. John the Evangelist
appeared in an apparition to fifteen residents in 1879. Our Lady, St.
Joseph and St John were clothed entirely in white and were immersed in
a brilliant white light as well as they appeared in the gable of the Church
of St. John the Baptist.
Behind them was an
altar holding a cross and a lamb.
The
witnesses beheld the vision for
over two hours in a pouring rainstorm, however
no rain fell in the gable.
